An entrepreneurship program essentially play four roles to help an individual become an entrepreneur and these are:

The role aims at influencing people in large numbers to become entrepreneurs. This process includes;

  • Developing managerial, technical, analytical, financial and marketing skills.
  • Inculcating personality traits.
  • Promotes entrepreneurial behavior and values.

SUPPORTIVE ROLE

Assisting individuals achieve their business dreams through;
  • Formalisation of their operations through compliance with registration requirements
  • Entrepreneurship education through training
  • Securing reasonably priced funding.
  • Incubation support
  • Mentorship & Guidance from industry experts
  • Guidance in product sourcing and marketing

SUSTAINING ROLE

This aims at providing safeguards to businesses to withstand the cut-throat competition and other has conditions outside there;
  • Assist in modernisation, expansion and diversification
  • Additional financing for further development
  • Regional & Global Networking opportunities
  • Assisting in value addition strategies and marketing.

SOCIO ECONOMIC ROLE

  • Creating employment opportunities in Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises
  • Arresting concentration of industries by supporting regional development in a balanced manner.
